Our first song was “The Hawaiian Wedding Song” by Andy Williams. It fit perfectly with our music selections as we went with classic pieces by Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin and Billie Holliday. And the CPA did a very nice job. I know he was worried and he does have rather large feet (15AAA) but he didn’t step on my toes once!

I love how tall he is. 6’8″ if you’re wondering. With my heels on here, I’m about 5’11″. It’s funny because I always wanted to marry someone taller than me.

Our photographers did a fantastic job of capturing the moment. It was a beautiful song and a special experience.
Time for the hand-off.

This is my dad. He was so cute because his one big job (besides making sure I didn’t pass out on our way down the aisle) was to choose a song for our dance. He didn’t disappoint. Months before the wedding he came to me with his song of choice: “In My Father’s Eyes” by Martina McBride. Not being a fan of country music, I had never heard it before. But it was perfect. Good job dad!

And here’s my beautiful mother craning her neck to look up at my husband. She was so sweet – she gets emotional and can’t help but tearing up a bit. I see this picture and it makes me wonder what they were discussing. I imagine it is my mom telling the CPA to take good care of me and my husband assuring her that he would.

One last switch to dance with the step-parents. I’m so glad we got to dance with them too.

It was pretty funny to watch my husband and step-mother dancing as the height difference was rather noticeable.

And my sweet step-dad, what a great guy he is!

And then everyone joined in. We played about five or six songs, just enough to give everyone an opportunity to dance with their sweetie. I loved it!!
