Hi there!

Welcome to my little corner of the web. My name is Tabitha. I live in the DC Metro area with my sweet husband (I call him the CPA. Not in real life... just here on the blog), our son Henry, our dog Oscar, and our cat Sophie.

I married a bit later in life at the ripe old age of 36 and had Henry, my first child, in 2010 at age 38. I quit my job as an HR Manager in November and have been trying to figure out this full-time mom thing. It's a lot harder than I thought and a lot more rewarding than I ever imagined. Oh - and I just started my own photography business too so life is busier than ever.

And that's what this blog is about. It's my journey from being single, to being married, and to now... having a baby.

Blogging Perks (Giveaway) – Winner Erin @ Sprouted

As I’ve mentioned before, I use this site as my personal journal, if you will, a place where I can tell my stories even if they’re interesting only to me (and hopefully my family at least). I also have two other sites that I work on regularly (enter shameless plug here) called Organic For Baby and Hip and Trendy Baby. I started these sites because I found myself gravitating towards baby products of all kinds. I’d go shopping for toothbrushes, and I’d end up in the baby clothes section. I’d see something in the magazine and would write it down so I wouldn’t forget who it was made by. After a few months of doing this, I realized I could put this information to use by sticking it on a cute website. And thus my two baby sites were born (pardon the pun).

One of the great perks of doing these baby sites is that I sometimes receive products to review or I am contacted by companies who want to sponsor giveaways. I don’t plan on doing a lot of talking about those products on this site because I don’t want to mix business with pleasure. But this one is an exception that could benefit you.

If you’ve never seen a diaper cake, you’re in for a treat. It’s made entirely of, well, diapers. 40-45 chlorine-free disposable diapers to be exact (size 1) made by Seventh Generation so they’re eco-friendly.

The diaper cake also includes a super soft teddy bear, a comb, and some skin care products made by Burt’s Bees. Even if you don’t have a little one, diaper cakes make great new baby gifts.

Wow! There are some really neat choices. I really liked the Baby Einstein. But my favorite is three tiered do it yourself. I like to be creative, so I think it would be fun to decorate one, but I wouldn’t have a clue where to start to construct one.

There isn’t a cake on there I wouldn’t want to receive if I were a new mom! These are a great idea. The price isn’t bad if a couple friends or office mates wanted to share. And so creative! Lots of colors, different themes, and sizes to choose from! I’m going to share the site with some friends and hope she can restock quickly with all the publicity she’s getting!

It’s a tie. I like two of them equally. For gender neutral I love the barnyard friends diaper cake, but for a girl I love the Wonderland 3 tier baby diaper cake (too bad it’s out of stock!). What great sites – I’m glad I found them!

Oh my gosh! The Diaper Cakes are all spectacular! Of course my first inclination is to say I like the eco friendly diaper cakes, but since that one is part of the giveaway I will mention my favorite non-eco friendly diaper cake. That would be the Ballerina Bear Diaper Cake, it is just precious! Of course I am a bit biased because I have a beautiful 5 month old daughter so anything pink and pretty is going to be an Ooo, Ahh for me! I love the LadyBug Diaper Cake. My friends are having their first baby after many years of trying. Your DiaperCakes are just the cutest and I would love to give them one at their babyshower. Just waiting to see what they are having. So exciting!!!
