The cold that I’ve been fighting this week is finally starting to get better. My head is still stuffy yet my nose is running (you would think if your head was stuffy, there wouldn’t be anything to run, huh?). I’ve gone through almost a whole box of tissues and I’ve dealt with bouts of violent sneezing. The worst part of having a head cold, though, is the lack of focus that comes with it. There is medicine for coughing, aches, fevers, sneezing, runny nose, etc., but you don’t hear about the lack of concentration. That’s my worst symptom.
So, rather than trying to make sense of the random thoughts struggling to make their way through the stuffiness that is my head, I am going to list the things that I am grateful for today in the hopes that they will make a little more sense than my incoherent ramblings. Here goes:
- I am grateful that it is Friday. Thank goodness it’s Friday!

- I am grateful for good health, especially now when I am somewhat lacking it.

- I am grateful for my family, even though it may not have seemed like it during some of our pre-wedding, stress-filled moments this past week.

- I am grateful for the cool air outside and the colorful leaves that the cool air brings.

- I am grateful to have an office door that I can close when I have a cold and I need to take a nap.

- And last, but not least, I am grateful for Nyquil because it makes it possible to sleep with a cold.

Now it’s your turn, what are you grateful for today?
