Thankful that my husband doesn’t have a job where he is gone all the time anymore. . Also, thankful for the end of the work week and an exciting soccer and softball filled weekend with our daughter.

I truly understand your feelings. My husband works 12 hour days plus each week it shifts from day shift to night then back. When he’s working it’s pretty much, wake up, work, come home, eat, sleep. Fortunately, this crazy schedule means that he only works 14 days a month. I go from practically having no husband for 3 or 4 days at a time to being in each other’s pockets 24 hours a day. Right now our 20-something son is living with us while he works and pursues his MBA, so work days are not so lonely for awhile. All in all, we have a very good life for which I am very thankful!

I am grateful for so much. For the beginning of a weekend, which gives me hope of a fun and relaxing two days to do things around the house and yard and what I want to do. Grateful for the beautiful weather. And, mostly grateful for a sweet wife who makes me feel special.

Aw! The CPA gives you foot rubs? Send him down to St. Pete. I guess I should be grateful that Joe gives me back rubs. Lately, he'll only do it if I cash in the homemade "back rub coupons" he made me for Christmas. Also: Joe does not take business trips. Instead he goes to Phish concerts and comes back dog-tired and out of whack. Heidi´s last blog post..I'm still here!

Since we've lived together, HumanBoy and I have been apart only one night, and I believe in the 7.5 years we've been dating, we've never gone more than 48 hours without seeing each other. So weird to think about, really. Today I am grateful for the weather. It's been beautiful (if not a little sticky) today. I love warm weather. Wow! Do I know what you mean! I’m grateful that my husband says he needs me…in person!

My husband left for San Antonio, TX last Friday for a six month work project. I took him to the airport…and then because of the early check in time international flights, I was home again before he took off. I thought I had to make my own way alone (no cats or dogs ) for 3 weeks before I followed him…but Mr. “I need time to get settled in to a new routine” asked on Wed., “how soon can you get here?” A few minutes later I had an airplane ticket from London to San Antonio for this coming Tuesday. I mean I still had plans with friends this weekend to follow through on! It’s nice to be wanted! And he knows I want to be next to his side too!

Now back to eating everything in the freezer before I leave! Yikes!

Oh, I will also be grateful for being back in Texas, my true second home.
