Kevin does all sorts of things for me. He waits patiently while I search through the produce section trying to figure out exactly what it is I want to eat, even though this sometimes takes forever and multiple stores. He tells me I'm beautiful multiple times a day. He drives, because he knows I don't like to. He's my dish nypmh. (I don't have a dishwasher.) I go to bed and everything is clean in the morning. Wow, your hubby changes the toilet paper? I can’t get past that one.

My husband is very thoughtful. He’s not real good with housework, but he always remembers to help some way. He already made me my coffee pot tonight so that it will be ready in the morning. Considering the state of my mood in the mornings, this is HUGE!

I would LOVE a nightly foot rub!! *sigh*!
But MY CPA does a lot around here too, I must admit, that’s helpful to me in many ways.

HE CLEANS THE HOUSE, vaccuums, does most of the laundry, does all of the dishes (I hate dishes) and, well, pays all the bills.

He’s probably more wondering what it is I do for him??! Lol.

To HollyB – that’s a great idea, the list. And my husband and I, following a suggestion in a book that he likes (I find it amazingly man-centered and too Christian for my taste, although there are some good ideas) also made a prioritized list of the things we each absolutely hate to do. We let the person who dislikes something least do that chore. It works out fine!

I hate to vacuum. He will gladly do it with no questions asked. My parents even bought us a Dyson for Christmas and I have yet to use it!

I am jealous about the footrubs!

Brian is wonderful. He takes care of me. He also:

- manages our money and pays the bills. It’s so awesome to not have to think about the electric bill when it comes, because I just hand it to him.
- cleans the cat box, takes out the trash, and puts the cans out on trash day. I bring them in (when they are empty and light) but he does the hard work.
- mows the lawn. We share yardwork, but I appreciate that he (usually) does this, and even when I do it he empties the bag for me when it is full and heavy.
- just generally takes care of me.

Awww feet rubbing! My hubby takes care of everything in our dusty and smelly basement so I never have to go down there. And he does a lot of laundry. But most of all, he lets me pursue my dreams and if of great support. Michelle @ Find Your Balance´s last blog post..Thank Goodness for Garbanzos

I just got married a few months ago and we’re still working out the chores/who-does-what in the house. We finally decided to keep track of everything we did in a week and write it down on a list to trade at the end of the week. It was an eye opener for both – the other one did more than we both thought! Ever since then, we never bicker about who does more and it seems that we’ve both gained a bigger appreciation for what the other one does. I think we were stuck in our own perspective of thinking we each did more, but the lists really highlighted it. Now we tell each other to stop doing so many chores so we can add more to our own ‘list’ (which we no longer keep except in our minds and hearts). We also say thank you to each other more often. Who knew list-making was such a great tool!
