Does anyone know what the drive is like from DC to Cooperstown? I heard that it is a rough ride through Scranton, PA--windy and mountainous. Can anyone speak to this or how long the total trip could take? I'm thinking about taking the train to Utica and driving down.

Cooperstown looks like a great little town. I have always wanted to go there, but it is kind of out of the way. Great photos. They make me want to hit the road.

These photos! Your trip! Great stuff Tabitha! How cute and quaint is that inn? How cute and quaint are you and the CPA vacationing in Cooperstown, NY?

Hey, did I tell you Joe and I are spending our honeymoon road trippin' through Upstate New York? Maybe on the way up we should stay in Cooperstown. I hadn't even thought about it. He's a HUGE baseball fan. I'll email you to get the basics. How much was a night at the inn?

Beautiful photos! What a nice weekend you had. Too bad you didn't get to the Baseball Hall of Fame! Brian would die if he went to Cooperstown and didn't get there. It's on our list of places to go and I'm glad to see it will be a wonderful visit when we make it there, Hall of Fame or no.

<abbr><em>erin´s last blog post..<a href="http://misseireann.blogspot.com/2009/06/these-four-walls-are-driving-me-insane.html" rel="nofollow">these four walls are driving me insane. fresh air needed. now.</a></abbr></em>

I'm so glad you stayed at the Inn at Cooperstown. It's where I would have recommended! I love this town. I've been going there since I was very young. My dearly departed aunt (by name, not blood) was the prop mistress (maybe assistant, not really sure!) for Glimmerglass Opera for many years. I've even chaperoned 4th graders at the Farmer's Museum. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more - me or them! So glad you were able to explore my neck of the woods, in the Finger Lakes and Cooperstown! Only makes me miss NY a little!

The part about the holiday decorations being close to the bras really made me laugh =) You never see that sort of quaint atmosphere around here =(

Re: your comment on my blog, IT IS INSANE. The first time a man gave me birth advice, I sort of shrugged it off. The second time, I thought it was a weird coincidence. But now that we're approaching the end of the first dozen, it's driving me up the wall. It doesn't usually bother me when women, with or without children, give me advice. I know they mean well. And women, for better or for worse, tend to discuss things like pregnancy and motherhood with other women, so even if they've never experienced it they have a pretty good grasp on the biology of things and their personal preferences, etc. Sometimes I'll meet a man who has a pretty good grasp on things too, in which case I'll cut him some slack.

It's just that a man knowing what he's talking about with regards to birth choices is really in the minority. It really surprises me that it's happening at all. For most of the pregnancy, men have avoided me like the plague, and now all they want to do is ask personal questions and give ridiculous advice.
