A Little Gift from Lil Boo Inc.- WE HAVE A WINNER

I think I’ve done pretty well so far.  It’s been 13 whole weeks since we found out that I am pregnant and I haven’t bought one single gift for the baby.  Sure I’ve been tempted by cute little onesies and adorable baby toys, but I have refrained from purchasing anything.

At least I was doing well until last week, when I just couldn’t help myself.  I came across this site on Etsy called Lil Boo & Co.  I regularly look at Etsy just to get ideas and to add to my list of favorites.  I haven’t actually bought anything in a while, but this time I found myself drawn to the items at Lil Boo & Co.  I think it’s partly because they are different from any others that I have seen and partly because they’re not very expensive so I felt I could justify a little splurge.

My favorite items are these sets of crayons called Lil Scribblers.  They’re crayons (made from Crayola crayons meaning that they’re non-toxic) that have been molded into various shapes.  I bought a package of the butterflies and another one that contained various bugs.  Aren’t they adorable?

lil-scribblers-1

Each piece is made up of different hues so you really get a multitude of colors with only a few crayons.  And they create a swirly effect when they’re used, which is fun.

halloween

They’re also the perfect size for a little person’s hand as they’re easy to grip.

They make great gifts, too, as they come packed like this:

Lil Boo sells other items such as these Boo Boo Cubes.  Again, I couldn’t resist purchasing a couple, one of which looked just like this:

cube

It can be used as either a non-toxic cold pack or it can be put in the microwave to serve as a heating pack for sore muscles.  And it’s the perfect size for little babies/toddlers.

Now I realize that it’ll be a while before I need to use either of these items for my own baby, but still… I couldn’t resist.  Besides, I’ve been so good for so long, right?  And because I’m feeling generous this morning (or guilty, take your pick) I want to share the wealth.  So….

Simply leave a comment about your favorite item from this adorable shop (they do sell other goodies too) and a random winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to be used at Lil Boo Inc.  Winner will be selected on Tuesday.

WE HAVE A WINNER:  Congrats to Krysty!  Her name was randomly chosen using random.org.  Krysty – please email me to collect your gift certificate and thanks to everyone for participating!

Definitely the crayons!!! I have a feeling if we get them now Sean will totally use them, but I am absolutely in love with them. All crayons should be like this.

And good on you! We managed to go a while without buying things for Jasper while I was pregnant, but once I could feel him moving around, things shifted and all of the sudden I wanted to get everything for him.

Holly - September 3, 2009 - 7:26 am

What a great idea! My twins are 17 months and getting close to the age where they can start to color, but crayons are too small to grasp. I might need to invest in these for a Christmas present.
By the way- love your nursery selections! Super cute! I did green/brown/blue for my boys nursery.
