Thanksgiving List for 2009

My heart is full of thanks this year.  Not that I’m not normally thankful because I do try to be, but this year I am especially grateful for my life and the things that are a part of it.  In the past I feel like I’ve spent years searching for the perfect life and suddenly I realize that I’ve had it all along.

So without further ado, my Thanksgiving List for 2009 includes the following (in no particular order):

- The guys in my life, namely the CPA who is the best husband I could ever ask for and surely don’t deserve.

- Our new little man whom I can hardly wait to meet.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to be his mother.

- Oscar, the sweetest dog you will ever see.  (Trust me, even if you were not a dog lover, you would love this dog.)

- Parents who raised me with a good foundation and a sense of self.  Parents who have always supported me and loved me without fail.

- And speaking of foundations, I am thankful for the knowledge that I have in a God who loves me and a Savior who sacrificed His life for all of us.  While it has not always been the “cool” thing to profess to being religious, I can not deny my beliefs and I am thankful for them.

Jesus Christscriptures

- Part of these beliefs include the idea that families are forever so I am thankful for my brothers and sister who are not only family, but are  friends.  I love each one of them dearly even if I don’t say it often.

siblings

- A house, however tiny and cramped it may be, that we can call home.  It is full of warmth and love and hopefully after this four-day weekend, it will actually be clean.

new-house

- My job where I have worked for the past three years.  It has had its challenges as most jobs do, but it has been a huge blessing in our lives (and it helps pay for that home that I’m so grateful for).

pregnant woman

- And last, but definitely not least, my friends.  It was amazing to me to attend our baby shower the other night and see how many people showed up in support of this upcoming event.  I realized just how many people I am thankful for and what a role they play in our lives.  I am also thankful for my internet friends who amaze me with their kindness and sweet words.  It means so much to know that they’re (you’re) there, much more than I would have ever thought possible when I started this little journal a year ago.

There you have it… my Thanksgiving List for 2009.  So many things to be thankful for, too many to list here.  But I am grateful for each of these things and the joy and happiness they bring.

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you – may your holiday be everything you want and more!

What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for

…a wonderful husband and two beautiful sons.

…my husband landing a good job after 10 months of unemployment and for said job giving him benefits from the first day.

…our families who supported us unconditionally over those 10 months.

…being able to give to others and understand how hard the holiday season can be when you don’t have a job.

…the many family and friends wherever they are in the world today.

Happy Thanksgiving Tabitha! Thanks for a lovely blog post!

Happy Thanksgiving! I have much to be thankful for this year too. Our THREE beautiful children (with a welcome to baby Nate on his first holiday), my dear husband, my family who is such a help to us, a warm place to sleep, food to eat, and so much more!

I’m thankful for:

the “Cute Guy”. My best friend, soul mate, and eternal companion
four fun munchkins
one yum scrumptious puppy, Winston (btw, your right, your dog just demands you love him immediately upon looking at that cute face)
wonderful family and friends
the many blessings in my life – too many to list
a home
to live where it feels right
freedom of religion
a Heavenly Father who loves me and cares about me
his son, Jesus Christ
his restored gospel

you need to add to your list – being thankful for false starts, and babies not trying to come into the world too soon. See, he’s an obedient little guy already!

I too am also grateful for a lot of things in my life at the moment, many of them were also found on your list. :-)

I’m so happy about my pregnancy, even though it feels like there is still a long time to go, I’m grateful that baby seems to be doing fine and that I can now feel the movements inside my tummy that proves that there’s actually something in there. :-)

And I’m so very happy that I have my darling man, he truly is the best and I love him dearly, even more now when I’m pregnant and think about how fantastic a dad he will become.

And I’m grateful that we live somewhere nice where I feel safe and at home, a light and happy place that we are busy decorating at the moment.

And I appreciate the office and colleagues I see every day, they are such a supportive bunch of people and we have more fun together than we should. Should probably be working more and laughing less… :-)

And I’m also grateful for my family and my darling, darling sisters, the best in the world. And my friends that care about me and are going to lend us loads of things for the baby.

And I’m so grateful we’re starting a family in Sweden, a country where parents can take up to two years of paid parental leave between them!

Sorry about the long post :-) And Happy Thanksgiving to all!

My thanks are along the same lines… my incredible husband, my healthy and beautiful children, my family, extended family and friends. My health, and my savior as well. For without Him, I would not be blessed as I am today. :)

Great list, and beautiful sonogram photo! I also have many blessings to be thankful for this year. I wrote a post about one of the more unique things I am thankful for: Sexuality (probably not what you are thinking!).

Happy Black Friday!

I love Oscar and your perfect little house with the red door. Remember: the bigger the house, the more expensive it is to heat and that goes for love too. The smaller the house, the quicker it fills with love. :)

What am I thankful for? Well, right now, I’m away from husband, visiting my sister in South Carolina. While I’m bummed we weren’t able to spend our first holiday as a married couple together, I’m grateful to be with my sisters. Incredibly grateful. Also: I’m grateful for my sister’s boyfriend Brian. He’s WONDERFUL and I’m so, so glad she found him. He makes her incredibly happy. Now if only PK could find a man…

Thank you for sharing this amazing list and like you, my list is long once I started. I’m SO grateful for my husband, truly the most wonderful man EVER – just love this COP so much and grateful he is my husband, friend and companion. My absolutely wonderful and beautiful children – love each one so much for their talents, loving personalities and strong belief in themselves and their knowledge of what truly is important in life. My gratitude is overwhelming for my sisters and brother and I’m so grateful they’re such a big part of my life today as well as when we were young. My dear parents who loved me. I’m grateful for my home. Thankful for all my dear friends who love to play with us (gotta love movies, bunko and craft shows with friends). My heart is full of love and gratitude for my Savior and Heavenly Father for their love and all the blessings I receive daily. Thank you for the opportunity to think again of all that I have in my life that makes it so full!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I am thankful for my husband, parents and our two sons. And, that our soldier got to come home for Thanksgiving. I am trying very hard not to think about the fact that he can’t come home for Christmas…

Be well!

With love,

I am especially thankful for my family this year…maybe it’s because I’m getting older or maybe it’s just because I’m getting wiser, but I love em’ and couldn’t imagine life without them.

Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.
