Don’t get me wrong – it was pretty ugly, but we maintained the use of our power (hello Internet) and...  How exactly does one prepare for a hurricane? I only ask because apparently the East Coast is expecting a visit from Irene over the next couple of days and it’s supposed to be a doozy. Actually, the thought to prepare hadn’t crossed my mind as I have still been reeling from my other recent experience... By now I’m sure everyone has heard about the earthquake that hit Virginia (and other areas) this afternoon. I’m also sure that some of you, especially those who have experienced quakes before, are rolling their eyes at all of the hooplah surrounding our 5.9 seismic activity.
